PART II – THE JOURNEY TO AELYREA
EPISODE GUIDE – THE STORY BEHIND THE SONGS
Each song is a chapter. Together they tell Josh’s journey from hope back into darkness –
and his first direct encounter with Aelyrea.

1. THE QUEEN’S GARDEN
Josh appears to have survived the battle with his inner demons.
Living in isolation on the English coast, high above the cliffs,
he gazes out over the sea.
The world feels calm again.
For the first time in a long while, life seems light.
​
2. HERE I AM
Josh embraces the moment.
The trauma of his past feels distant, his strength has returned.
He feels present, alive, full of energy –
as if he has finally reclaimed his place in the world.
​
3. 5 · 2 · 12
The calm is deceptive.
Josh is haunted by intense waking dreams, accompanied by a beautiful yet unsettling melody.
Slowly he realizes that darkness is spreading across the world:
hatred, violence, racial division and religious conflict spiral out of control.
The collective despair pulls him back into the abyss.

4. SUPERNOVA
Driven by fear and hope, Josh searches for answers.
He retrieves his old transistor radio and tunes into the “dead frequency” of 28 MHz –
hoping to hear the voice of his daughter Eleonor,
who died before birth.
Instead, a cold and mocking voice answers him,
declaring all resistance meaningless.

5. VIRUS
Josh turns on the television.
A news anchor reports the outbreak of a new and terrifying disease:
the R.E.D. virus.
The infected appear emaciated, their eyes glowing red, their bodies decaying –
and after death, they vanish without a trace.
Despair spreads like wildfire, engulfing both the world and Josh himself.

6. THE FLAME
At the same time, Josh’s wife falls gravely ill.
He sits at her bedside, holding her hand, watching her suffer.
Despite her brave smile, Josh senses a deeper truth.
A dreadful suspicion takes hold of him.
He asks her to endure – and leaves in search of certainty.
​
INTERMISSION – THE PROFESSOR
Josh returns to the Professor, who once guided him through his first crisis.
In desperation, he asks to be sent back into the demonic dream world –
no matter the cost.
The Professor finally reveals the legend of Aelyrea,
a demon of near-omnipotent power who feeds on the souls of exceptional humans.
Before Josh leaves, the Professor gives him a shard of a mirror –
a fragment of an ancient family relic that allows one to glimpse Aelyrea’s realm.

7. TWISTER
In a state of extreme emotional conflict, Josh manages to summon a Soulreaver.
After a brutal trial at the dimensional gate, he is declared guilty
and dragged into Aelyrea’s realm.
There, Josh confronts the Soulreaver with the mirror shard.
For the first time, the creature sees its own positive self –
and shatters under the weight of this realization.

INTERMISSION – AELYREA’S REALM
Josh wanders through Aelyrea’s world:
a surreal dimension born from the fantasies of imprisoned souls.
Magnificent plazas, endless celebrations, intoxicating joy.
But Josh discovers the truth:
once happiness reaches its peak, Soulreavers strike unnoticed,
feeding Aelyrea with fragments of stolen souls.

8. TEARS OF AN ANGEL
In a remote cave, Josh finds his daughter Eleonor.
Drawn by the power of her soul, Aelyrea had her abducted by a Soulreaver.
Now twelve years old, Eleonor is cursed to remain in this world.
The only way to free her is to restore her smile.
Josh and Eleonor sing together about love and reunion.
With trembling hands, Josh gives her the mirror shard.
Eleonor smiles – and slowly dissolves into white mist.

9. AELYREA
Deep within Aelyrea’s palace, Josh faces the demon herself.
As Aelyrea strikes, Josh notices a second mirror fragment –
secretly placed there by the Professor.
The shard reflects Aelyrea’s former human self.
Horrified, she falls into the abyss of despair,
her scream echoing long after she disappears.

10. MIND OVER MATTER
Josh believes he has won.
He laughs, triumphant, intoxicated by his victory.
For a moment, something dark awakens within him –
as if power itself has begun to consume him.
​
11. THE ABYSS
Red veins spread across Josh’s body.
Aelyrea drags him back into the void.
As they fall, she reveals the truth:
Josh himself is the carrier of the virus –
chosen by an ancient family curse.
To save humanity, Josh sacrifices himself.
Together with Aelyrea, he descends into the endless abyss.
